Further Information and FAQs
Instead of receiving emails to see what's new, blogs (also called weblogs) allow you to simply scan headlines or brief article summaries and then click if you what to read more. People like using blogs because it allows them to catch up on all the latest information when and if it suits them. Like checking email without the SPAM! Our articles are organized in reverse chronological order: newest first, oldest last. On the first of each month we refresh the blog and start again. The older articles are still there but to read them you will need to look under the Archives link on the blog's sidebar. We have two blogs: the Microbiology blog and the Molecular Biology Blog. Both of these blogs are aimed at research scientists, advanced students and other specialists. They provide information and updates on current research, recent advances, topical issues, new technology, forthcoming conferences, hot research topics, and high impact publications.
Our blogs have a News Feed (often referred to as RSS or Atom or XML). This allows you to see when we have added new content to the blog and scan the latest information by using a News Reader, a Web Browser or services such as Google Homepage, MyYahoo, MyAOL etc. You can receive the information as soon as it is published without having to visit our website or receive any email.
