The Impact Factor 4.481 has recently been assigned by Thomson Scientific to the journal Current Issues in Molecular Biology (CIMB). The current Immediacy Index is 1.111.

CIMB publishes high quality papers with an emphasis on microbiology, intestinal microbiology, and probiotics research. It is a peer-reviewed journal, first published in 1999, and is a full Open Access Journal. This means that all articles are freely available online throughout the world, to read, download, copy, distribute, and use, without charge.
